Neutral Kit (CSA Approved)
The artificial neutral is designed for use
on poly-phase ungrounded (Delta) systems. It is powered from
the AC line or internal rechargeable battery. It provides
an intermittent grounded neutral enabling the detection of
fault current on ungrounded networks.
Because the flow of the current is interrupted
at periodic intervals it is distinguishable from the load
current. Two speeds (fast/slow) of neutral application are
provided so that analogue or digital instruments can be used
for detection. Three red lights located under the phase inputs
indicate the presence or absence of phase voltages. Battery
state light above the line input connector shows charge (red)
or fully charged battery (green). Adjacent to the speed selector
is the relay status light that is green when the relay is
operating. In addition there is also a buzzer activated by
the relay operation.
